AT A GLANCE
LimePin Dating is for adults aged 18+ only.Never send money, security codes or banking details to someone you meet through Dating.Take your time before sharing private contact or location information.Block and report anything that feels threatening, deceptive or unsafe.

1. Adults only

LimePin Dating is intended only for people aged 18 or over. Do not create a Dating profile if you are under 18 and do not use the service to seek contact with anyone you know or suspect is under 18.

If you believe a profile may belong to a minor, stop interacting and report it to LimePin.

2. Protect your personal information

You decide how quickly to share information with another person. Early in a conversation, avoid giving out information that could expose your home, finances, workplace routine or account security.

  • Do not share passwords, one-time security codes or banking login details.
  • Think carefully before sharing your exact home or work address.
  • Avoid putting information such as passport details, driving-licence numbers or financial documents into chat.
  • Use separate privacy settings on social media before connecting accounts or profiles.

3. Scams and money requests

A person you meet through Dating should never need your password or security code. Requests for money are a major warning sign, even where the story appears urgent, emotional or convincing.

  • Do not transfer money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or prepaid vouchers to someone you have met through LimePin Dating.
  • Be cautious of sudden emergencies, investment opportunities, inheritance stories or requests to receive money on someone else’s behalf.
  • Do not allow someone to use your bank account, payment account or identity documents.
  • Report suspicious payment requests to LimePin and, where appropriate, your bank or the relevant authorities.

4. Take conversations at your pace

You do not owe anyone a phone number, social-media account, photograph, video call or meeting. Pressure to move quickly, secrecy, repeated boundary-pushing or aggressive behaviour are legitimate reasons to stop communicating.

Keeping early conversations within LimePin can make it easier to use platform blocking and reporting tools if a problem arises.

5. Meeting in person

When you decide to meet, make arrangements that leave you in control of your own travel and allow someone you trust to know where you are.

  • Meet in a public place for early dates.
  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to return.
  • Arrange your own transport where practical and keep access to your phone.
  • Do not rely on someone you have just met for accommodation or a journey home.
  • If you feel uncomfortable, leave. You do not need to justify ending a date early.

7. Verification is not a guarantee

LimePin may introduce profile, identity, photo or account checks to improve trust and reduce misuse. A badge or completed check cannot guarantee a person’s intentions, history or future behaviour.

Continue to use your own judgement even where a profile appears established or verified.

8. Blocking and reporting

Use block or report controls when another user harasses you, threatens you, sends unwanted sexual content, appears fraudulent, impersonates someone, pressures you for money or otherwise makes you feel unsafe.

LimePin may review account activity, messages or other relevant information where reasonably necessary to investigate a safety report, enforce platform rules or comply with law.

9. Immediate danger and crime

LimePin is not an emergency service. If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 999 or 112 in the UK or seek help from someone nearby.

If you believe you have been the victim of a crime, consider contacting the police or an appropriate specialist support service. Preserving messages, usernames and other relevant information may help with a report.

10. LimePin’s role

LimePin provides the Dating platform and safety tools but cannot supervise private conversations or meetings between users. Each user remains responsible for their own choices and conduct.

Dating users must also follow LimePin’s Terms of Use, Privacy policy and Community Guidelines.
